NCSoft has posted pictures of the winners from their Halloween City of Heroes/Villains costume contest.

Some days wouldn’t it be nice to be a super hero! Or... at least dress like one? Well, while you may not be interested in getting dressed up in a cape and tights, you can see a few folks who are!

New City of Heroes / Villains Screenshots & Video - Wings & Veteran Rewards

As if the ability to fly weren't enough, today from Cryptic Studios, we have word of a new reward for longtime players of City of Heroes / City of Villains: wings! Different rewards will be available for players with accounts in good standing for the past 3, 6, and 9 months with the release of the free "Issue 8" expansion in November. Check out the newest original screenshots and a movie of a winged superhero in action!

Boomtown has posted some new City of Heroes screenshots showing off the new powers. Super powers can be so bland. It's great that they made them look fancier:

"The upcoming fifth, free City of Heroes expansion titled Issue 5: Forest of Dread is hotly debated amongst the CoH gamers, since it's going to be the largest collective nerf (ie. downgrading) of powers ever seen in the history of the game. However, there is also good news: The expansion will add new power sets for blasters, controllers and defenders such as sonic blast and trick arrow."
