DragonAge: Origins is perhaps the most anticipated Fantasy RPG of the year, and with good reason. It's a BioWare game (need we say more?) and its production values are top notch, but how does its novel group-based gameplay stack up?

While I haven’t yet played DA:O I am looking forward to when I can afford to get it.

as for the DDO thing, I do not in this one case feel it is necessarily out of place. I think D&D in general a different beas...

I find this impressions bit particularly interesting since I picked it up on the PS3. When you say you're hitting pause a lot and delving into the tactics, not feeling it at all like an action RPG, I'm experiencing quite the opposite. Taking a cue from our earlier interview with Mark Darrah who said:

Its definitely a difference in system, even the devs say the console versions are more prone to non-stop action sequences, where-as the PC is much more classic Baulder's Gate tactical & strategy!
