#1,201 - There are no bad words, but plenty of bad intentions.

We all have different tolerance thresholds when it comes to language--what some find offensive, others shrug off. Words aren't innately bad; it's the intention behind them that matters. But are some words always derogatory, and thus people who use them always offensive? Despite a gaming culture littered with a certain offensive word, to the point that we're all but immune to it, I say yes. Read up on the latest video gaming bad word scandal in today's Loading... If you look at the worst hate mongers for gay/lesbian/transgender you will find that they are christians which should not be doing this since it is against what jc preached. I do not tolerate hate speech and intolerance from anyone including family members. In games when it happens I will speak up and voice my objections, if it keeps up I will report it.

Society indicates what words are inherently bad based on current cultural standards. A good example of this is in the UK area a fag being a reference to what we call in the US a cigarette.

Having said all of that...
