The tale of Dalmarus' descent into the world of PvP

Player versus player combat is currently hotter than a baked potato down your back. With the coming of Warhammer Online, self proclaimed carebear, Eric "Dalmarus" Campbell, may have finally discovered a thirst for slaughtering other players. Is he simply posing this week, or has Mythic Entertainment finally discovered the secret to converting players?

Whether other companies want to admit it is a matter of debate for a different day, but Mythic has been perfecting this particular form of combat longer than most online entities have been around. They've spent more time dissecting the ins and outs of PvP combat than teens [and some adults!—Ed.] have spent trying to go blind. That's a lot of PvP.

Hahah great write up! I'm in the exact same boat as you. I never had the slightest urge to play any type of PvP in my MMO's and then I tried WAR..

Now every time I log in I feel like Arnold in Commando when he single handedly kills every soldier on the island with nothing more then a couple grenades, an unending supply of M-60 ammo, and a couple of spare circular saw blades!!

I normally play a healer but got fed up with witches constantly killing me in a blink of a eye, so decided to play a witch hunter, to see if I could learn some counters for my healer.

Alas, I am now a devoted witch hunter, I've gone from carebear to mad dog killer of all things destruction related. I still play my rune priest occasionally but really enjoy pvp more now. Just wish my reactions were faster.

I now can't wait to log on and get into a scenerio or pvp area, sneaking around and...

Excellent write up. It sounds a lot like why I am so into WAR despite despising PvP on other games.

It's not your regular PvP.

As a Zealot, I find it more fun if you just dps in pvp... players die too quick to focus on it... sure Ill toss out a heal if I come across it.
