One thing that should be explained to the boys at Cryptic - They can be as confusing at their name sometimes! They're throwing a Halloween Costume Contest in connection with their under-development title Champions Online. This contest started on Halloween and will last until November 7th.

Costume Categories:

* Scariest
* Funniest
* Most Original
* Best Superhero
* Best Supervillain
* Best Overall

Important notes:

* One Halloween Costume winner will be selected from each category (Scariest, Funniest, Most Original, Best Superhero, Best Supervillain, Best Overall).
* Winning entrants will be announced in the Super News Network forum section and contacted via the forum PM system upon contest completion.

It seems Cryptic wanted to take into account the people who chose their costumes at the last minute, which doesn't make a lot of sense when you're looking for Best Costume. But beyond that, it's a great way to hand out Closed Beta tickets.
