Exec sees no reason two games can't get along

Tom Nichols, a LucasArts executive, has confirmed that support for Star Wars Galaxies will continue despite the announcement of Star Wars: The Old Republic. He also says that LucasArts will endeavor to not make the same mistakes that were made in SWG, such as the now notorious "New Game Enhancements".

"We've learned how important it is to listen to your community and act on that feedback," he said.

"We also realised what players expect from an online Star Wars game - they expect to be that iconic Star Wars hero as soon as possible. They don't want to play for hundreds of hours just to become a Jedi."
