With Wrath of the Lich King looming closer, there have been announcements of new daily quests and how they will affect player leveling. What are some of the problems with current daily quests, and how could they improve? This editorial attempts to address some of the current issues with WoW's current Daily Quest system.

The main problem many people have nowadays with their Daily Quests is the lack of variety these quests have. Most of them are killtasks, with only a few of them being able to be completed by a healer or tank-specced class, especially if under time constraints or in a PvP environment.

I was not a big fan of the daily quests when they first began for many of the reasons stated in the article. I started the Sky Guard ones and found them annoying. I started doing the Netherwing ones but just never seemed to find the time to keep up with them and I eventually just stopped messing with them. I actually enjoyed the Shattered Sun ones, amazingly enough. Admittedly I tend to solo allot and found them quite easy for my mages and my shadow priest. It didn't seem to take me too long ...

Im a big daily fan, as a casual sorta player they are the best way for me to get cash and the odd good reward. Sunwell dalies and Aldor rep item grinding got me my epic flyer!

However it doesn't mean that dalies are perfect.
For example, to get the netherwing dalies you have to complete a quest line, i never knew this and i wasnt made aware of it until id finaly finished the quest chain. And even that was on a whim as i had nothing better to do at the time..

Why is there so much love for JC rewards when reping up with SSO?
I think that there should be some sort of love for the other profs!

I absolutely hated daily quests before the Shattered Sun Offensive line...

It was such a grind, and I hate, and I mean hate grinding. 2-3 hours max maybe 2-3 times a week is all the grinding I can stand... It's horrible, I hate it.

The older dailies were such a bore, such a horrid grind. But the new(ish) SSO quests are great! I can do like... 10 of the quests available on the island in under an hour, make about 100g and 2,500 rep. And I'm a Protection Warrior! The killing is no problem...

I am the type with the dailies that once I get exalted on the toon I don't want to do them anymore....my shaman and warlock haven't touched Netherwing since getting their drakes and honestly I am sick of them on my rogue.

The SSO dailies are not bad but obviously some toons - like my shaman jewelcrafter love them and others like my hunter who is a LW have no real use for the rep. So it is a good thing/bad thing.
