Wrath of the Lich King Beta invites are on their way!

Nethaera, a Blizzard poster (Blue), has stated affirmatively that Lich King beta invites are in the pipe:

" The Wrath of the Lich King invitations have started to go out, and we have officially begun the beta test. As with The Burning Crusade, the beta-test process for Wrath of the Lich King will occur in phases, during which we will be inviting players who have opted-in to participate."

The directions for applying to the beta and creating a temporary beta account (for those lucky enough to be invited already) can be found in the World of Warcraft forums. Apparently the beta has no NDA in place, so expect a flood of information from the testing.
