Built as a community nurturing network from the ground up, Ten Ton Hammer provides game players with a home away from home where they can chat with their friends, post in the message forums, share game stories, and ask questions to our experienced staff. Ten Ton Hammer provides readers with one of the largest selections of free MMO guides on the internet, along with quality features, editorials, previews and review of your favorite games.
The Ten Ton Hammer network is owned and operated by Master Games International Inc., a corporation founded in 1997 by chess organizers, International Grandmasters and patrons of the game.
John was originally brought on board by Master Games International to market their chess site (WorldChessNetwork.com) but proceeded to convince the board of directors that MMO gaming was a lucrative market still in its infancy. The board proceeded to instate John as the C.O.O of the newly forged Ten Ton Hammer, and the rest is history. As C.O.O., John oversees the daily operations and planning of the network while also producing the network’s daily newsletter, “Loading...”.
Before joining Ten Ton Hammer, John opened the first public Internet Service Provider in Southern Ontario in 1993, which later branched out into content creation. He’s been in the computer game industry since 1996, when he founded the original GameStats.com. He now lives with his family in a tiny town in Ontario, Canada.
Phil ComeauIn May 2004, Phil received a phone call from John Hoskin asking him to participate in the founding of a new MMO network named Ten Ton Hammer. Phil has been responsible for much of the growth of TTH since that time, as he’s filled roles in both the Communities Director and Managing Editor positions. Currently, Phil retains the position of Managing Editor, where he oversees the writing and content produced by the networks numerous content developers.
Previously, Phil held a position at GameStats.com, where he moved from a Junior News Editor to a Senior Editor in one year. As Senior Editor, Phil was responsible for the entire news coverage team on the site as well as frequent reviews of new games and hardware. Phil holds a degree in Computer Engineering.
Jeff WoleslagleHired on as the Everquest 2 community manager for Ten Ton Hammer in November 2004, Jeff has quickly moved up the ranks to his current position as the network’s Communities Director. In this position, Jeff oversees the numerous community managers and editors of the network, often filling various roles to insure that articles are continually posted on the network.
Even as he worked for the emerging MMO network, Jeff continued to serve as an Assistant Manager for a company that provides food services to mid-size colleges. Now as a full-time employee of Ten Ton Hammer, Jeff works exclusively on MMO materials – day and night. Jeff holds Bachelor degrees in accounting, philosophy, and business administration from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa.
A recent addition, Cody joined the Ten Ton Hammer team in February 2007 to serve as the network’s Main Site Editor. As Main Site Editor, Cody writes, edits, and formats nearly all of the articles that appear on the main network site.
Before joining TTH, Cody was an Assistant Editor at a construction trade magazine and had been a volunteer for the Warcry Network since 2003. He holds a B.A. in Creative writing from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash., and currently resides with his wife in Kansas City, Mo.
